बिना रुके कौन चलता है
एक दिन की बात है बादशाह अकबर की सभा बैठी हुई थी। सभी दरबारी अपने-अपने स्थान पर बैठे हुए थे, तभी अचानक से बादशाह अकबर के दिमाग में एक सबल आया। उन्होंने अपने दरबारियों से एक एक सबाल पूछा कि "हर समय कौन चलता है ?" उत्तर देते समय सभी दरबारियों में किसी ने चन्द्रमा ,किसी ने सूर्य ,किसी ने पृथ्वी ,किसी ने हवा ,किसी ने मन इस तरह दरबारी अलग अलग तरह से उत्तर देने लगे।
जब बादशाह इस उत्तर से संतुष्ट नहीं हुए, तो उन्होंने बीरबल से पूछा की तुम्हारा उत्तर क्या है बीरबल ? बीरबल ने बादशाह के प्रशन का उत्तर दिया, कि जहाँपनाह " महाजन का ब्याज ( सूद ) हर समय चलता है। इसे कभी थकावट मालूम नहीं होती। यह निरंतर गति से आगे बढ़ता है। यह दिन दूनी रात चौगुनी बेग से चलता है। यह एक वर्ष पूरा होने पर और तेजी से बढ़ता है। निरंतर इसकी चाल में वृद्वि होती रहती है।
जब अकबर बादशाह ने अपने सवाल का यह उत्तर सुना, तो बादशाह बीरबल से बहुत प्रसन्न हुए। बीरबल को शावासी देने लगे।

When the emperor Akbar heard this answer to his question, the emperor was very pleased with Birbal. Started governing Birbal.
