एक समय की बात है। एक नन्ही सी चिड़िया एक जंगल में रहती थी। अचानक से किसी कारणवस उस जंगल में भयानक आग लग जाती है। उस आग को देखकर जंगल के जानवर बहुत घवरा जाते है और सोचते है अब क्या किया जाये। अब क्या होगा ?

थोड़ी देर में सारे जंगल में आग फेल गई। जानवर इधर उधर भागने लगे। सभी अपनी अपनी जान बचाने का प्रयास करने में लगे थे।

उस जंगल में एक छोटी सी चिड़िया भी रहती थी। उसने देखा कि सभी जानवर आग के भय से इधर उधर भाग रहे है। सभी जानवर बहुत भयभीत है। छोटी चिड़िया ने सोचा कि मुझे किसी भी तरह इन जानवरों की सहायता करनी चाहिए।

यही सोचकर वह पास के तालाब में गयी, और अपनी चोंच में पानी भरकर लाई, और उस आग में डालने लगी। इस तरह छोटी चिड़िया बार बार पानी लेकर आग में डालने लगी।

पास से ही एक कौआ गुजर रहा था। वह कौआ छोटी चिड़िया की इस हरकत को देख रहा था। वह कौआ मन ही मन सोचने लगा कि यह चिड़िया कितनी वेबकूफ है, कितनी मुर्ख है, कि इतनी भंयकर आग को अपनी चोंच के पानी के बल पर बुझाना चाहती है।

यह सोचकर कौआ उस चिड़िया के पास गया और कहने लगा कि तुम कितनी बड़ी मूर्ख हो इतनी भयानक आग को अपनी चोंच के पानी के बल पर भुजाना चाहती हो। इस तरह यह आग कभी नहीं भुजाई जा सकती है ?

छोटी चिड़िया ने उस कोए को बड़ी बिनम्रता के साथ उत्तर दिया, कि मुझे पता है, मेरे इस प्रयास से इस जंगल की आग कभी नहीं भुझने बाली। लेकिन मुझे अपनी तरफ से श्रेश्ठतम करना है। आग कितनी भी भयंकर क्यों  न हो में अपना बेस्ट करुँगी। अपना प्रयास नहीं छोडूंगी।

कौआ यह सुनकर बहुत प्रभावित् हुआ। 

शिक्षा - दोस्तों इस कहानी से हमे यह शिक्षा मिलती है , कि हमे बड़े से बड़े संकट को आने पर भी घवराना नहीं चाहिए। हमे निरन्तर प्रयास करते रहना चाहिए। 

Once upon a time. A small bird lived in a forest. Suddenly a terrible fire takes place in that forest. Seeing that fire, the animals of the forest are very nervous and think what to do now. what will happen now ?

In a while, all the forest fire failed. The animals started running here and there. All were trying to save their lives.

A small bird also lived in that forest. He saw all the animals running away in fear of fire. All animals are very afraid. The little bird thought that I should help these animals somehow.

Thinking this, she went to a nearby pond, filled her beak with water, and started putting it in the fire. In this way, the small bird took water repeatedly and started putting it in the fire.

A crow was passing by nearby. That crow was watching this movement of a small bird. The crow thought in his mind that this bird is so foolish, so foolish, that it wants to extinguish the fire on the strength of its beak.

Thinking that the crow went to that bird and started saying that how foolish you are, you want to fire such a terrible fire on the strength of your beak. That way this fire can never be fired?

The little bird replied with that humility, that, I know, my efforts never leave the fire of this forest. But I have to do my best. No matter how fierce the fire, I will do my best. I will not give up my efforts.

The crow was very impressed to hear this.
