थॉमस अल्वा एडिसन नाम का एक बच्चा था। जो एक प्राइमरी विद्यालय में पड़ता था। एडिशन व्याकुलता का शिकार अपने शिक्षक द्वारा पढ़ाने में मुश्किल समझा जाता था। क्योकि एक ट्रैन दुर्घटना ने एडिसन के कानों की सुनने की क्षमता कम कर दी थी और साथ ही इस घटना ने एडिसन के दिमाग पर भी गहरा असर छोड़ा। अर्थात एडिसन एक मंदबुध्दि बालक की तरह बनकर रह गए।

एक दिन विद्यालय में अध्यापक ने एडिसन को एक लिफाफा दिया और कहा यह ले जाकर अपनी माँ को दे देना। एडिसन स्कूल के बाद घर आये और वह लिफाफा अपनी माँ को दे दिया और बोले टीचर ने यह लिफाफा देने के लिए कहा है। माँ ने वह लिफाफा खोला और उसके अंदर से कागज निकालकर पड़ने लगी। पड़ते पड़ते उनकी आँखों से आंसू बहने लगे। एडिसन की माँ अपने आंसुओ को चाहकर भी रोक नहीं पा रही थी।

One day the teacher in school gave Edison an envelope and asked him to take it and give it to his mother. Edison came home after school and gave the envelope to his mother, and the teacher asked him to give it. Mother opened the envelope and began to remove the paper from inside it. Tears started flowing from his eyes. Addison's mother could not stop wanting her tears.

इस तरह अपनी माँ को रोता हुआ देखकर। एडिसन ने अपनी माँ से पूछा ,"इसमें क्या लिखा है माँ ?" जो तुम इसे पढ़कर इतना रो रही हो। मुझे भी बताओ माँ इतना क्यों रो रही हो ? उसकी माँ ने अपने आंसू पोंछते हुए कहा , इसमें लिखा है आपका बेटा वहुत होशियार है, वहुत प्रतिभाशाली है, और हमारा स्कूल निचले स्तर का है ,यहाँ अध्यापक भी अधिक शिक्षित नहीं है। इसलिए हम आपके बच्चे को नहीं पढ़ा सकते। आप इसे किसी उच्च स्तर के स्कूल में ले जायें या आप स्वयं शिक्षा दें।

उस दिन के बाद से एडिसन की माँ उसे घर पर ही पढ़ाने लगी। क्योकि एडिसन की माँ भी एक स्कूल में टीचर थी। इसलिए उनकी माँ ने यह निश्चय किया कि में अपने ही मार्गदर्शन में एडिसन को घर पर ही पढ़ाऊंगी। इस तरह एडिसन अपनी माँ से घर पर ही पड़ने लगे। कुछ वर्षों के बाद एडिसन की माँ गुजर जाती है।  तब तक एडिसन एक महान और प्रसिद्ध वैज्ञानिक  चुके थे। तब तक इन्होने इलेक्टिक वोट रिकॉर्डर मशीन, इलेक्टिक बल्ब जैसे कई महान आविष्कार कर लिए थे। बल्ब के आविष्कार से इन्हे सारी दुनियां में पहचान मिली।

From that day on, Edison's mother started teaching him at home. Because Edison's mother was also a school teacher. So her mother decided that I would teach Edison at home under her own guidance. In this way, Edison began to meet his mother at home. Addison's mother passes away after a few years. By then Edison was a great and famous scientist. माँ के गुजर जाने के बाद एडिसन घर पर अकेले थे। एक दिन उन्होंने घर की सफाई और अपने सामान को फिर से व्यवस्थित रखने के बारे में सोचा। एडिसन जब अपने सामान को रख रहे थे, तो उन्होंने अपनी माँ की आलमारी में एक लिफाफा देखा और उस लिफाफे में बंद काजग को पड़ने लगे। यह वही लिफाफा था जो बचपन में एडिसन के शिक्षक ने उन्हें स्कूल में दिया था। एडिसन को याद था कि कैसे उन्हें स्कूल में ही वहुत होशियार घोषित कर दिया गया था। 

माँस का भोग 

Addison was alone at home after her mother passed away. One day he thought about cleaning the house and rearranging his belongings. While Edison was keeping his belongings, he saw an envelope in his mother's cupboard, and began to find Kajag locked in that envelope. It was the same envelope that Edison's teacher had given him at school in childhood. Edison remembered how he was declared very clever at school.

उसमे लिखा था ," आपका बच्चा मंदबुध्दि है। इसलिए अब उसे स्कूल ना भेजें। वह कभी नहीं पढ़ सकता। " उसे पढ़ते ही एडिसन की आँखों से आंसू वहने लगे। एडिसन उस पत्र को हाथ में लिए घंटो तक रोते रहे। उसके बाद एडिसन ने अपनी डायरी निकालकर उसमे लिखा ," एक महान माँ ने एक वहुत ही मंदबुध्दि बालक को एक सकारात्मक सोच के जरिये सदी का एक महान वैज्ञानिक बना दिया।

He wrote, "Your child is a brain. So don't send him to school anymore. He can never read." Edison's tears began to tear as he read. Edison wept for hours with the letter in his hand. Edison then took out his diary and wrote in it, "A great mother made a very slow-minded child a positive scientist of the century through positive thinking."

शिक्षा : दोस्तों इस कहानी से हमे यह शिक्षा मिलती है कि हमें हमेशा सकारात्मक सोचना चाहिए। जब हम कोई कार्य शुरू करने  की सोचते है, तो शुरू करने से पहले ही हमारे समाज के ही कुछ लोग हमें यह कहकर रोक देते है कि तुमसे यह काम नहीं होगा। और हम उनकी बातों को ही सत्य मान लेते है। इसलिए हमे हमेशा पॉजिटिव सोचना चाहिए ,निरंतर आगे बढ़ते रहना चाहिए। असम्भव कुछ भी नहीं है बुलन्द हौसले और दृढ़ निश्चय होना चाहिए।
